Wayzata Team Wins State Synchronized Swimming Title

For the sixth year in a row, the school's synchronized swim team placed first in state.

For the sixth consecutive year, the Synchronized Swim Team won the state synchronized swimming meet championship March 25 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center with 155 points.

WHS freshman Amanda Urke scored a perfect 4-for-4 and placed first in the extended figures, extended solo, extended duet and extended team events.

Urke and teammate Haley Ruegemer made the all-state synchronized swim team.

Stillwater High School took second again, scoring 50 points and Edina, Forest Lake and St. Louis Park rounded out the top five.
