5 Things To Know About Roseville Today

1. Morning showers and potential thunderstorms give way to partly sunny skies around noon. Roseville won't see today's high of 77 degrees until about 3 p.m. Humidity between 65-70 percent will make for a rather sticky day as well.  

2. The exit ramp at Rice Street and Highway 36 eastbound will be closed until July 1. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes but detours are sign posted.

3. On this date in 1977, Heiress Elizabeth Congdon and her nurse are murdered at Glensheen mansion in Duluth. In a sensational trial, Congdon's son-in-law, Roger Caldwell, is convicted of the murders. New evidence in the case sets him free a year later but incriminates his wife Marjorie. Acquitted of these murders but found guilty in two arson cases, Marjorie is now in an Arizona prison.

4. The 21st Annual Rose Parade starts tonight at 6:15 p.m. It includes 12 high school marching bands, clowns and street performers as it winds through the one-mile route from Roseville High School, east along County Road B-2 to Lexington Avenue past Central Park to County Road C with a big finish at the Skating Center.
