A Theft in Roseville Has Left This Musician Devastated

Years worth of compositions stolen from Richfield man.

A Twin Cities jazz musician is earnestly seeking the return of his lyrical compositions and notes that were stolen from his car last week when he was in Roseville, the Pioneer Press is reporting.

In the early hours of Thursday, Nov. 15, a thief smashed the rear passenger window of Jason Weismann's Volkswagen Jetta in the 2700 block of Lexington Avenue North in Roseville, and made off with an IPad and a cloth bag filled with binders containing handwritten notes, the newspaper said. "In those binders were 15 years' worth of original compositions."

The theft occurred after Weissman, of Richfield, had finished playing a gig at the Lexington Apartments in Roseville, according to a WCCO TV report. Weissmann is offering a $300 reward for return of the his binders, the newspaper reported.
