Laliberte: "I am extremely humbled by the results and to know that I will be participating in the general election."  She credited the hard work of her volunteers and supporters for being a winner in the primary. "I am looking forward to meeting more residents and hearing their concerns in the coming months."

Etten: (Posted on his Facebook page) "The primary election results are in and we're moving on to the general election in November! Thank you all for your help and support. Now we need to dig in as we work for a win in November!"

Schaffer: "It's very exciting and intersting. When I talk to people they are interested in open and transparent government."

Hoffman: "Thank you to not only those who supported me, but for all who turned out to vote in the primary. It was a close result and I want to congratulate all the candidates."

McDonald: (posted on his Facebook page) "I am not sad about the results because I got to meet some genuinely nice people that I would NEVER have been able to meet! I feel like this was a necessary step for me to take, and I am very glad I did it.

That being said, it made me proud that my older daughter got to vote for her father on her very first election! The other good news? My younger daughter will now have the same opportunity in 2014! I have learned a lot, and will be a formidable opponent in the next City Council race."

Gale: "Although I am disappointed by the low number of votes, it is totally understandable, as I missed much of the time between filing for office and the primaries by being out of the country. I thank the people who have voted for me."

Strohmeier: "I'd like to congratulate the winners. I am disappointed at losing. But it (running for City Council) was a great experience and I am truly humbled by the supporters and friends who stuck by me. I look forward to spending more time with my girlfriend and I will continue to serve on the Planning Commission."
