Readers pick Roseville VFW Post 7555 as best place for St. Patty's celebration in Roseville
The voting is done and Roseville VFW Post 7555 has emerged as the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Roseville.
The Post captured 36 percent of the vote in our second Readers' Choice award contest, edging out
Roseville VFW Post 7555 will be serving corned beef and cabbage and reuben sandwiches starting at 11 a.m. on St. Patrick's Day. It will also be holding a "pot of gold" contest, best Irish look contest and a meat raffle. The club will also be selling George Killian's Irish red beer.

Last year, VFW Post 7555 served about 250 plates of food on St. Patrick's Day, said club manager Marianne Gordon. The Post's St. Patrick's Day festivities go back at least 17 years, she said.
Meanwhile, Grumpy's festivities for St. Patrick's Day include the Minneapolis Pipes and Drums Band performing at 5 p.m. Meanwhile the restaurant wil be serving Irish fare including Guiness stew and soda bread and corned beef and cabbage.
