Bed Bath & Beyond Coming To Roseville

Fall opening slated at Rosedale Commons.

Bed Bath & Beyond is in the midst of preparing to open a store in Roseville.

The New Jersey-based retailer of bedding, bath, kitchen and home décor merchandise plans to open this fall at Rosedale Commons in space occupied formerly by Linen N’ Things. The new store will take about 26,000 square feet at Rosedale Commons, which altogether has about 177,000 square feet

Roseville city officials estimate the value of the Bed Bath & Beyond renovation project at about $1.2 million. The Roseville store will be the national retailer’s eighth Twin Cities location.

“We're always looking for new locations to open stores," Bed Bath spokeswoman Rachael Risinger told Roseville Patch. “While there are many factors involved in selecting a store location, our customers are our number one priority and we are always thrilled to open a new store so our customers do not have to travel as far to shop in a Bed Bath & Beyond store.”

A leasing agent for Rosedale Commons said the shopping center is an attractive location for the new Bed Bath store because it is in Roseville and in the heart of the city’s retail district. Located at the northeast corner of Fairview Avenue and County Road B2, Rosedale Commons is north of Rosedale Center.

“Roseville is always attractive to large retailers,” said Kris Schisel, a senior associate at Welsh Companies in the Twin Cities.  She said that Bed Bath & Beyond  will help Rosedale Commons become more dynamic and rejuvenate the center.

“The center (Rosedale Commons) is in a fantastic position,” Schisel said

The Bed Bath store’s merchandise will include bed linens, bath accessories, window treatments, framed art, kitchen linens, as well as cookware, dinnerware, glassware, lifestyle accessories, closet and storage items. “Each department will be like a store within a store and will be staffed with knowledgeable sales associates,” Risinger said.

As of late May, Bed Bath & Beyond had 984 stores in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada.
