Caregiver Workshop Set Monday at Roseville Lutheran Church

Register now for last in series of workshops set for Monday.

If you are a home caregiver for someone with eating difficulties which may be caused by dementia, stroke, or other related diseases, come join a discussion with a question and answer session to help you improve your caregiving skills.

Monday, May 21, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.m; overflow session 2 to 4 p.m.              

This pilot workshop is sponsored by , 1251 W. Roselawn Ave. The workshop will be held in the church's Room 40, near the kitchen on the ground floor.

The workshop is available to anyone in the community, but preregistration is required. Beverages and snacks will be served and there will be handouts. To pre-register call 651-647-9506.  There is a $5.00 fee, payable at each workshop, to help cover the cost of handouts. 

If you know someone in this home caregiving situation, encourage them to register for this workshop.  A registered dietician specializing in dining and feeding skills for the elderly, a nurse practitioner, and an occupational therapist will lead this discussion and demonstrate techniques for you to use, in order to provide the dining nutritional needs of individuals with eating difficulties.

Workshops are limited to 15 participants. If more people want to register, an afternoon session of the same workshop will be held on the day the workshop is scheduled (overflow session).
