Snow Forces Further Delays for Cedarholm Golf Course Opener

Club manager offers update on status of course.

Another week and more delays for the opening of Roseville's municipal golf course this spring.

"Nothing like a April snowstorm, right!," said Roxann Maxey, clubhouse manager of Cedarholm Golf Course. "Now we're looking more like next week (for the course opening) since we haven’t had any days yet to bring any vehicles on the course for maintenance."

This year is a stark contrast to the spring of 2012. "We had alreadiy been open a few weeks(by this time) last year," Maxey said.

Barring continuing inclement weather, the  city hopes to start its golf leagues by the fifth week of April.

Whenever Roseville kicks off its golf season, the municipal golf course will be offering more riding carts, increasing the number of them from six last year to 10 for this season, Maxey said.
