Edina Realty To Hold Open House Extravaganza Sunday
Real estate agents from Edina Realty's Roseville branch office will hold at least 15 open houses this weekend.

As the Twin Cities housing market continues to rebound, Edina Realty is gearing up for a fall Open House Extravaganza on Sunday (Sept. 9).Â
"We have at least 15 open houses this weekend," said Brian Thistle, branch manager of Edina Realty's Roseville office. "And there's another Open House Extravaganza on the 23rd" of September, he said.

Across the Twin Cities, Edina Realty officials said they expect company real estate agents to hold hundreds of open houses this Sunday and on Sept. 23 to assist prospective buyers searching for new homes.
"With the housing inventory down 31 percent and the lowest housing inventory since December 2003, home buyers are hungry for new listings," they said.

The Twin Cities housing market is in recovery. The median sales price in the 13-county metro area rose 14 percent in July compared with the same month in 2011, the largest annual gain since January 2004 and the fifth consecutive month of year-over-year gains, according to the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors.
The association's data also showed that July's median home prices in Roseville rose 20.9 percent from the same month a year earlier. That figure was $173,450, up from $143,500 from July, 2011.
Homes for sale are also spending less time on the market, selling in 106 days on average – 28 percent faster than the same period last year.Â
Homebuyers can research the communities they want to live in on Edina Realty community web pages. Edina Realty’s website, www.edinarealty.com and the mobile site, m.edinarealty.com, are the first places where buyers can start looking for homes in the neighborhoods they want to live in.
But there is nothing like seeing a home, in person, Edina Realty officials said.
