Extended Winter Leads to Surge in Potholes, Public Works Director Says

More snow and ice events mean more patching for city road crews.

If you think you're seeing more potholes around Roseville this spring compared to prior years, well you're right.

City Public Works Director Duane Schwartz this week told Roseville Patch, "Our crews are finding more potholes this season due to the frequent snow and ice events since the beginning of February and the freeze thaw cycles due to the below normal temperatures.

"We haven’t found that they are larger on city roads as we try to patch them before they become too large," Schwartz added. "Sounds like there may be more pothole friendly weather coming in the next few days."
