Fireworks Safety Tips From Roseville Fire Department
In Roseville, sparklers are legal but purchasers must be at least 18 years old. And fireworks can not be used on public property.

With the 4th of July coming this week, the Roseville Fire Department is urging residents to take precautions celebrating the holiday, especially when it comes to setting off fireworks.
The No. 1 rule: Use common sense when handling fireworks, the city says.

"Always read and follow directions on the label
- Only light fireworks on a flat surface away from buildings, dry leaves and flammable materials
- Wear eye protection
- Light only one item at a time and never re-light a "dud" firework
- Dispose of fireworks properly. Soak in water before putting in a trash can
- Have a responsible adult in charge
- Never give fireworks to children
- Fireworks are for outdoor use only."
In a statement, the city continued, "Non-explosive and non-aerial fireworks, including sparklers, snakes, poppers, and cones or tubes that emit sparks, are legal in Roseville. Fireworks may not be used on public property. Purchasers must be at least 18 years of age.

"Explosive and aerial fireworks, including firecrackers, bottle rockets, missiles, roman candles, mortar and shells are prohibited from public sale or use in Roseville.
"For more information about fireworks that are legal in Minnesota, visit the state Fire Marshal’s website.
"Use discretion when setting off noisemakers, especially at night. Roseville prohibits noises that annoy or disturb a person or prevents their enjoyment of their property. A person may face civil or criminal charges if found guilty of violating City noise restrictions.
