When a long-time political foe of Congressional Rep. Michele Bachmann passed away last month, a Northwestern College professor tweeted "good riddance."

That tweet from professor Kent Kaiser upon learning of the death of Karl Bremer, a Stillwater blogger dubbed by some in the media as a Bachmann "nemesis," caused a stir in the Tweetsphere. Kaiser soon afterwards apologized for his remarks. But the controversy ended up being the most read story of January on Roseville Patch.
