For These 16 Students, It's History, They're Advancing to State Competition

Parkview Center School 7^th and 8^th graders had a record performance at the regional competition for National History Day in Minnesota, with an amazing 16 students proceeding to the state competition.

The following students will represent Parkview at the state History Day competition on May 4:

Paper: Olivia DiGiorno

Documentaries: Naomi Boehm and George Burkhardt

Individual Exhibit: Heather Knutson, Nicholas Behrens, Rose Wagner, Noah O’Donnel-Hoff, Ben George

Group Exhibit: Eileen Schrot, Grace Smith, Signy Weber, Tiffany Ku, Kyle Fisher, Avery Nelson, Ellie Peine, Hannah Distad

National History Day is an inter-disciplinary research project for students in grades 6-12 and the largest academic competition in Minnesota, with over 30,000 kids competing. This year, students completed a project around this year’s theme: “Turning Points in History: People, Ideas, Events.”
