How Can You Track The Birds in Roseville?

(HANC) in Roseville invites you to try birding in Roseville ! Enjoy any or all of the latest series of birding programs designed to introduce or enhance identification and observation skills.

The instructor, Bob Holtz, is an active and experienced Roseville birder. He will present indoor slide programs as well as outdoor field trips. Indoor sessions meet at the Nature Center , while outdoor and carpool sessions meet in the HANC parking lot. Children twelve years and older are welcome to attend accompanied by an adult.

 Birds of the Wetlands, Including Ducks, Geese and Swans

This indoor session is designed to help you identify wetland birds and learn local places to find them. Digital photos will be used to point out the key features of our wetland birds. Thursday, April 12, 7:00-8:30 pm   Fee: $6

Bird Walk in Central Park

Central Park is Roseville ’s flagship park, having several attractions, one of them being a good birding spot. We will walk from Dale Street to Lexington Avenue and back. Over 100 bird species have been found along this route. March provides a time to see some of our winter visitors before they retreat to the north and to find some new spring migrants.

Looking for Wetland Birds

This program is a field trip to look for the birds mentioned in the April 12^th program. We will carpool to some nearby lakes and wetlands.

The Harriet Alexander Nature Center features 52 acres of freshwater marsh, prairie and hardwood forest. Staff naturalists offer a variety of programs to the public, area schools and special interest groups.
