Stuthman, a RoMaFH member who chaired the League’s Minnesota study on immigration reform in 2003, will discuss what is comprehensive immigration reform, what it could accomplish, how it works and why the League supports it, according to a new announcement from the local league.Â
According to local league member Judy Berglund, Stuthman notes that immigration policy is determined at the federal level, but individual states can enact legislation that affects the immigrants in their communities. Her presentation will focus on:Â Â What legislation has been proposed in the 2013 Minnesota legislative session and what is happening at the federal level.Â
