It's a Later Opening for Ramsey County Yard Waste Sites
Cold weather, snow pack delays the County's traditional April 1 opening.

Mother Nature is pulling a bit of an April Fool's joke on Ramsey County.Β
Due to continued snow cover and colder than normal temperatures, Ramsey County said this week it is postponing the spring opening of its seven yard waste from April 1 to Monday, April 15. Β Until this week, the county had been advertising, in publications, that the yard waste sites would open April 1.Β
Β βLast year, we opened earlier than planned because of warmer weather, this year, itβs the exact opposite,β John Springman, Ramsey County environmental health supervisor, said in a news release.
