Solem, 52, said she is planning to retire and, for the immediate future, take some time for traveling. "I haven't had the opportunity to travel," she said.
Asked how the cafe is doing, Solem said, "Our business is OK. We have our regulars and then new people who have discovered us. And people seem to really like our coffee."Â

While Solem said she is looking forward traveling, she is going to miss her customers, who have included a group of retired teachers and a men's cigar club. "Everyone who walks in here winds up being like family," she said of her customers. "That is the thing I am going to miss the most."
