Updated: New Activities Director Named For Roseville Area Schools
Jeff Whisler to take the helm in new post.

Roseville School District 623 Superintendent John Thein announced today (Tuesday) that Jeff Whisler has been selected as the new activities director for Roseville Area Schools. His appointment is effective Wednesday, Aug. 1, Thein said.
Currently, Whisler is serving as the activities director for Independent School District 832, Mahtomedi Public Schools. He has more than 20 years of experience as a school administrator, the Roseville district said in a news release.

In a statement, Thein described Whisler as “a dedicated educational leader who will work hand-in-hand with the students, their families and the staff of Roseville Area Schools.”
For his part, Whisler stated he is “committed to continuing the tradition of excellence in Raider activity programming, with special emphasis on open communication and broad based community involvement.”

Whisler succeeds from his post as Roseville Area Schools activities director (overseeing activities at the high school and district's middle school) and accepted an assignment as a full-time teacher at Roseville Middle School, the school district announced.
Allen had been on leave since early May, while the school district . The complaints were believed to be related to the allegations of bullying that caused .
The district said Allen’s re-assignment was “a voluntary transfer due to the stress and time commitments of his current assignment.”
Meanwhile, the Roseville School District said, in a statement, that Whisler is an active member of the Minnesota State High School League, having served on its Board of Directors and including a term as president in 2010. He is also recipient of several awards and honors including induction into the Minnesota Hockey Coaches Hall of Fame, the John Mariucci Award and the Cliff Thompson Award.
