North Suburban Communications Commission Elects Officers
Group's territory includes Roseville.

The members of the Roseville-based North Suburban Communications Commission and the North Suburban Access Corporation/CTV North Suburbs elected new officers at their February meetings.
Officers elected to serve one-year terms are: Shoreview Councilman Blake Huffman for Commission chairman and board president; Steve Beilke of North Oaks for vice chairman and vice president; and New Brighton Councilwoman Gina Bauman for Secretary/Treasurer.

“I’m honored to be elected at this critically important time for both organizations, with the Commission involved in the cable franchise renewal process with Comcast and the CTV Board developing a strategic plan for the next three to five years,” said Huffman, who has served two years as the organizations’ Secretary/Treasurer and chaired the Finance and Human Resource Committees in 2011.
“We have a lot on our plates as we face the challenges of changing technology and an evolving regulatory environment," Huffman said. "I want to thank Roseville Mayor Dan Roe, our chair and president for the past two years, for his strong and progressive leadership.”

The North Suburban Communications Commission is a joint powers authority established by the cities of Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks, Roseville, St. Anthony and Shoreview to administer their cable television franchises.
The Commission created the North Suburban Access Corporation/CTV North Suburbs to manage the public, education and local government channels set aside on the cable system and to serve the 10 communities by providing access to services, tools and training to facilitate communications through electronic media.
