Lead Consultant for Park Renewal Program on Roseville City Council Agenda
Roseville city staff is recommending the Council approve LHB Consulting as lead consultant for the Park and Recreation renewal program.
The Roseville Council is expected tonight (Monday, Oct. 8) to consider approving LHB Consulting as the lead consultant for the city's $19 million parks and recreation renewal program.
In a staff report, City Manager Bill Malinen said LHB has emerged as the top choice from six proposals based on a best value method evaluation of the bidders. LHB submitted a base bid for the contract, $172,332. That is about $3,000 more than the lowest bidder, Stantec, but less than the overall $194,500 anticipated budget.Â
"LHB Consulting offered a strong recommendation on a well thought out Value Added Plan that will help to facilitate continued discussion with staff, citizens, community groups and other consultants for an additional cost not to exceed $22,080," Malinen stated. "This proposal specifically offices the lead project manager from LHB at City Hall two days per month throughout the contract to provide that ongoing coordination."

A Quarterly meeting with HRA
Meanwhile, the Council is also scheduled tonight (Monday, Oct. 8) to hold its quarterly meeting with the city Housing and Redevelopment Authority. Among items to be discussed are plans by the HRA to buy five parcels of property near the current fire station on Dale Street north of Highway 36.
The city is considering demolishing that fire station and redeveloping the area for high-density housing. (The fire station demolition would be part of an overall plan where the city is currently building a new, state-of-the-art fire station north of City Hall on land that once housed a prior fire station.) The Council meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive. To see the complete agenda, click on to this link.
