Rep. Alice Hausman Gives an Update on Legislative Session

Editor's note: District 66A Rep. Alice Hausman issued the following e-mail update on Friday. Her district includes most of Roseville that is south of County Road C and west of Snelling Avenue: 

"Dear friends and neighbors, we are six weeks into the legislative session and this week has been full of activity.  Over the last few weeks, we have approved the set of rules we use to navigate legislation on the House Floor, expanded health insurance coverage to help 40,000 people get the health care they need, and approved that will bring Minnesota taxes into conformity with federal tax guidelines.

Committees have been hard at work, crafting bills that will become part of the state budget. An important date is on the horizon; on February 28, the state budget forecast will be presented. Please take a moment to watch my short update about the forecast. (See video above)
