Roseville Couple Wants To Know: Who Stole Our Bikes?

Surveillance tape shows men making off with one of the bikes.

A Roseville couple, who had their bicycles stolen earlier this week from their underground garage at the Roseville Commons apartments, have posted security video on YouTube in hopes someone can identify the thieves.Β

Jasvir "Jesse" Singh said he has footage and photos of two men breaking into his apartment building. "They stole 2K worth of bikes from 2496 County Road C2 West Roseville" on March 27, he said. "I am also the one-half of the victims of this crime (they stole my & my fiance's (Laura Craig's) bikes."

Singh, 26, and Craig, 29, said they hope their video postings on YouTube will help police find the thieves and enable the department to recover the bikes. One of the bicycles is a Cannondale Flash 29er model; the other is a hybrid Novara Forza model. Β

According to a Roseville Police report, "Β The bikes were locked to a housing floor jack. Suspects knocked the floor jack down and took the bikes. The jack was not used at structural support, only as a means to lock bikes."

As of Friday, police had no suspects in the burglary.Β

Meanwhile, the theft has shaken Singh and Craig. "We're pretty upset about it," Singh said. But he added, "More importantly, we just don't want something like this to happen to anyone else. We don't want this to become a common occurence" in the neighborhood.

Anyone with information or a possible lead about this crime should contact the Roseville Police Department'sΒ investigative unit at 651-792-7008 and ask to speak to Lt. Erika Scheider.
