Roseville Letter to the Editor: Fund The Southwest LRT Project

Project would benefit Roseville residents who work in the southwest metro.

Letter to The Editor:

Although we live in Roseville, the construction of the Southwest LRT will benefit us.

My wife works in St. Louis Park, commuting 17 miles each way, each day, to a major medical institution that values her skills.  She would be able to board the Central Corridor LRT and travel safely and comfortably to within walking distance of Methodist Hospital.

The Southwest LRT seamlessly connected to the Central Corridor will make travel between the east and southwest portions of the Twin Cities easy, safe, and affordable to all people in the this large part of the Twin Cities.

The Southwest LRT is a project that has been in the planning for more than 10 years and would be a great investment in the quality of life for our area. It also will be a powerful incentive for economic investment in areas along, and extending out from the transit corridor.

I urge everyone who lives in the Southwest region to contact their Legislator right away and ask them to provide funds in the state bonding bill to keep this invaluable train on schedule to reality.
