May marked our birthday month, since our launch on May 20, 2011.
During this past year, the Patch organization and Roseville Patch have gone through a myriad of changes. But one thing has remained constant: Our desire to serve you, the community of Roseville.

In the course of the past 12 months, we have gone from one local editor (that's me) and a team of freelancers to cover the communirty to now myself and an assistant local editor (that's Zac Farber).
Given our limited resources, we can't possibly cover everything. But we will continue to focus on reporting the issues and events that matter most to the community. Our key coverage areas are city government, schools, business and police and fire. We also will continue to pick up a smattering of sports and community arts news.
Meanwhile, Roseville Patch is much more than an online newspaper. We like to think of ourselves as a virtual town center, a place where people can come together online for news, information, and conversation.
We are hyper-local and interactive. Our Patch site will only become as successful as the people who step forward to comment on our stories, submit events and announcements and share their knowlege, expertise or interessts in blogs that we call "Local Voices."
We endeavor to bring you a mix of serious, practical and fun posts each day. We hope we are filling a news void for you.
