Roseville Schools Make Two New Administrative Appointments

Roseville Area Schools said it has made two administrative appointiments, naming Peter Olson-Skog as the new director teaching and learning and Jake Von De Linde is its new assistant director of teaching and learning.

In a news release, the district said Olson-Skog is replacing Joe Wemette who retired this past Fall. Olson-Skog is returning to Roseville from North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale Schools where he was principal of Carver Elementary School for the past three years, after serving as Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning in Roseville from 2006 to 2009. 

Olson-Skog has more than 15 years of teaching and administrative experience, with a emphasis on cultural competency, data analysis and curriculum development, the district said. His most recent accomplishments include earning the Minnesota Elementary School Principals’ Association Leadership Achievement Award.

Meanwhile  Von De Linde replaces Connie Nicholson, who retired this past fall.  Von De Linde is the former dean of students at Parkview Center School, serving on special assignment this school year in the district’s Educational Development Center. In this role he will continue to oversee the Educational Development Center in the areas of curriculum, staff development, gifted-talented education, Equity and Integration initiatives, and assessment. 

Von De Linde has more than 12 years of educational experience from student teaching in New Zealand, serving as an elementary classroom teacher in Duluth and White Bear Lake. Most recently, he supported students, staff, and families as a building administrator at Parkview Center School from 2007-2011, the district said. Von De Linde’s focus in education is on instructional leadership with an emphasis on student achievement and equity mindset.
