Roseville Wrestler Trae Story Runner-up in Weight Division at State Class AAA Wrestling Tournament
Roseville teammate David Johnson also gains all-state honors.

Two Roseville High School boys wrestlers emerged with All-State honors from the Minnesota State High School League's Class AAA individual wrestling tournament this past weekend.
Junior Trae Story finished as runner-up in the finals of the 195 weight division. Roseville head wrestlling coach Mike Holmes called Story's accomplishment particularly noteworthy given "he battled intestinal issues." Story lost 10 pounds over the two days of competition, dropping his weight from about 200 down to 190 pounds, Holmes said.
Meanwhile junior David Johnson competed at the 220 weight division. He won his first round match, then lost in the second round. But Johnson won two critical matches in the consolation bracket to eventually emerge placing sixth. In placing sixth, Johnson gained all-state honors, Holmes said.Â

A third Rosevile High School wrestler, Brandon Comisky, competed at the Class AAA state tournament in the 182 weight division. He lost a tough first round match 5-0 and did not get the opportunity to compete further, Holmes said.Â
Holmes said he was happy with his three wrestlers' effort and noted he is looking forward to Story and Johnson returning as seniors next year to the Roseville wrestling team.
