Date For Season Opener at Roseville Municipal Golf Course Still in Flux

The Twin Cities snowy and cold winter has dragged on into early April, delaying the start of the 2013 city of Roseville golf season.

"We are hoping for it (course opener) sometime next week,"  said Roxann Maxey, clubhouse manager at the city of Roseville's Cedarholm Golf Course.

This year is a stark contrast to the spring of 2012. "We had alreadiy been open a few weeks(by this time) last year," Maxey said,

Barring continuing inclement weather, the  city is expecting to start its golf leagues by the fifth week of April. 

Whenever Roseville kicks off its golf season, the municipal golf course will be offering more riding carts, increasing the number of them from six last year to 10 for this season, Maxey said.
