Serving Prison Time for Hit-and-Run Death, This Roseville Man Now Facing Civil Damages Too

Timothy Bakdash, the Roseville man convicted last year for the hit-and-run death of Β University of Minnesota student in Dinkytown, now appears headed towards paying civil damages stemming from the incident, according to a report today (Tuesday) in the St. Paul Pioneer Press.Β
Sarah Bagley, a graduate student, is suing Bakdash for injuries she sustained when she was struck by Bakdash when he went on a drunken, driving rampage in April 2011. "Bakdash, who has long-standing problems with substance abuse, is serving 40 years for his April 2011 hit-and-run killing of University of Minnesota senior Benjamin Van Handel," the newspaper reported.
