Sign Ups Open for Roseville-Sponsored Summer Camps

City Parks and Recreation Department taking registrations.

The Roseville Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for its summer kid camp programs.

Its programs include "Spectacular Summer" and "Summer Spectacular Plus".

Day camps meet from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays  with "Summer Spectacular" running from June 18 until Aug. 16.

The "Summer Spectacular Day Camp" is for kids kindergarten to fourth grade. "Our experienced staff will take the time to get to know your children and plan a fun-filled summer around their interests," the city recreation department said in a news release. "Kids will explore the outdoors, create works of art, play golf and soccer, do arts and crafts, practice yoga…the ideas are endless."

Meanwhile, the "Summer Spectacular Plus Day Camp" is a new program for children entering the fourth to seventh gardes.  Kids will explore Twin Cities hot spots, improve their sports skills, play games, try a few science experiments and get the chance to make new friends," recreation department officials said.

The city said kids can sign up for Monday through Thursday or two days a week (Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday). The flexible schedule enable kids to participate based on their family's summer plans, the city said.

Roseville also offers several "Friday Field Trips."
