Trial For Roseville Man, Timothy Bakdash, Postponed Until February
Bakdash was originally scheduled to appear in Hennepin County court on Nov. 14.

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office confirmed Thursday evening that the murder trial of Roseville native Timothy Bakdash, 29, has been postponed to "a date to be determined in February."
When pressed on the reason for the postponement, media coordinator Chuck Laszewski called it "simply a scheduling issue."

Bakdash was arrested on Apr. 21 after driving his vehicle into a crowd of pedestrians in the Minneapolis neighborhood of Dinkytown on Apr. 15.
Bakdash initially fled the scene and sold the Mitsubishi Galant used in the hit-and-run attack but police caught up with him six days later.

University of Minnesota senior Ben Van Handel died on Apr. 21 from wounds suffered in the attack.
Fellow university students Sarah Anne Bagley and Katelyn Marie Hanson were injured in the Apr. 15 attack but survived.
Bakdash is currently being held in the Hennepin County Jail. He is facing one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder in the first degree.
If convicted, Bakdash could spend the rest of his life in prison.
