Update: Funeral Today for 18-year-old Who Died in Savage Moped Accident
Authorities identified the victim of the Tuesday morning crash as Brett Michael Raley.

An 18-year-old Burnsville man died early Tuesday after the moped he was riding struck the fence of a Savage home.
The victim in a fatal crash has been identified as Brett Michael Raley.Â
The funeral service is scheduled for today—Friday, May 11, at 3:00 p.m. at  in Burnsville. A gathering of family and friends will happen one hour prior to service.

According to a release from the Savage Police Department, at 2:16 a.m. on Tuesday emergency crews were called to the 12400 block of Lynn Ave. S. on a report of a crash with unknown injuries. Raley was found unresponsive at the scene.Â
The accident remains under investigation by the Savage Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.

"Brett was taken from us all too soon. (He) enjoyed so much in his short life," his loved ones wrote in his obituary.
His family described him as a hard worker, who made a point of helping his neighbors. He was looking forward to fixing up a car his grandfather recently gave him.
