Soon-to-be Mayor to Launch Listening Tour
There will be no speeches or anything like that, Brad Tabke promised. He wants to talk one-on-one with as many people as possible about Shakopee.

Mayoral-elect Brad Tabke isn't waiting until January to restart conversations that started during his campaign. Instead, he's planning to host more opportunities to hear from his consituents.
"I want to hear thoughts, ideas, problems and especially solutions for Shakopee," Tabke said in an email Monday.
Next Tuesday, Nov. 29, marks the start of what he's calling the Listening Tour, a six-stop tour around Shakopee to hear from both residents and business owners.

Tabke says he's keeping the sessions informal and intimate so he can talk one-on-one with as many people as possible and people are welcome to come and go as they please. He got the idea from Shakopee City Councilor Pamela Punt, who did the same thing after she was elected two years ago. There's a chance Punt and/or other city council members will be in attendance at these events, as all have been invited, Tabke said.
