The city has contracted with Pro-Tree Outdoor Services to remove public ash trees along boulevards and in parks throughout Shakopee. The tree removals are a part of the city's Emerald Ash Borer management plan to mitigate the spread of this non-native, invasive insect.
Residents will receive a flyer at least 48 hours in advance notifying them of an ash tree removal adjacent to their property. Click here for more information about the city's EAB mitigation plan.
