Check out what's happening in Shakopee this weekend.

Friday


The Scott County Association for Leadership and Efficiency (SCALE) will have their meeting from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. They will meet at Prior Lake City Hall, located at 4646 Dakota Street Southeast. 

Minnesota Valley Rally is from 6 p.m to 10 p.m. in downtown Shakopee. After Friday, the classic car show will occur one more time: Aug. 23.

The Food Truck Festival at Canterbury Park will start at 6:30 p.m. Some of the companies participating include A Cupcake Social, Mineapple Pie, Hola Arepa and Turkey To Go.

Saturday


It's the last day to pick up your prizes for your "Bookawocky badges" at the Shakopee Library. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Minnesota Derby and Minnesota Oaks races are at Canterbury Park on Saturday. The races carry $75,000 purses, the largest for Minnesota bred 3-year-old horses since 1988. Saturday's post time is 1:30 p.m. with the Derby and Oaks races occurring later.

See The Incompatibles at Shakopee Senior High School. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for seniors and students. To order tickets, call (612)239-8952 or email ddgerasimenko@gmail.com. Shakopee's River Valley Theatre Company is co-sponsoring the production.

Sunday


Twin Cities mascots will be at Canterbury Park. Post time is 1:30 p.m. Along with the mascots, the park has Pepsi Family Day on Sundays. The day includes a petting zoo, pony rides and face painting.

Sunday's showing of The Incompatibles starts at 2 p.m. at Shakopee Senior High School. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for seniors and students. To order tickets, call (612)239-8952 or email ddgerasimenko@gmail.com.
