County Road 61 Reduced to One Lane
Flying Cloud Drive will not be a great option for avoiding Highway 169 construction until at least the end of the day on Wednesday.

Shakopee drivers might not want to take County Road 61 today or tomorrow as a way to avoid Highway 169 construction.
Preparation for an upcoming project on County Road 61 (Flying Cloud Drive) has resulted in lane closures as workers complete investigative work.Â
Both sides of County Road 61 between Technology Road and Eden Prairie Drive have been reduced to one lane. The lanes should open back up some time on Wednesday, said Project Engineer Daniel Allmaras.Â
Hennepin County Public Works is in charge of the County Road 61Â project, which will consist of replacing the storm sewer and sanitary sewer. The project is scheduled to be completed in September of this year.
Most of the work will be done under the road, Allmaras said, and it should not have much of an impact on traffic.Â
