Update: Pickup Truck Crash on 169 Left Truck Hanging Over Bridge, No Injuries
A crash involving a pickup truck and a trailer on Highway 169 left the truck hanging over the Bloomington Ferry bridge near Shakopee Aug. 23.
Update Aug. 27: The person driving a 3/4 ton pickup truck with an attached trailer last Thursday on 169 was not injured in the crash, according to Shakopee Police. The crash happened after the dirt-filled trailer separated from the tuck, causing the truck to spin around and hit the guard rail. The rear of the truck was left hanging over the edge above the Minnesota River, but the driver and truck were removed successfully, Shakopee police reported.

The right lane of the roadway was blocked for at least an hour as emergency personnel from Shakopee police and an ambulance cleared the scene. Tire tracks at the scene made it appear that a vehicle may have driven up against the lane barrier.
There has been no official word yet on injuries, but an ambulance was seen leaving the scene with lights flashing.
