DETOUR: Tenth Avenue Closed at Jackson in Shakopee

Tenth Avenue at Jackson Street will be closed through 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20 to allow for construction of underground utilities as part of the 2013 Street Reconstruction project.

Traffic will be detoured onto Sixth Avenue and County Road 15.

A look at the overall scope of the project: 

The City of Shakopee will be making improvements to several west Shakopee streets as part of its annual street reconstruction project. Improvements include new water and sanitary sewer pipes, storm sewer, curb and gutter and street. Among the streets affected (see map):

• Harrison Street, from 10th Avenue to 11th Avenue
• Jackson Street, from 10th Avenue to 11th Avenue
• Van Buren Street, from 10th Avenue to 12th Avenue
• Tyler Street, from 11th Avenue to 12th Avenue
• 12th Avenue, from Taylor Street to Adams Street
• Atwood Street, from Shakopee Avenue to 10th Avenue
