Eastbound I-494 Overnight Lane Closure Starts at 7 p.m. Tonight

Eastbound I-494 Overnight Lane Closure: Friday, April 27

Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, April 27, the left lane of eastbound I-494 will close between Prairie Center Drive and Hwy 169, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. The closure is necessary as we prepare for, and pave, the inside shoulder of the roadway. All lanes of eastbound I-494 will reopen at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 28.

Eastbound I-494 Reduced to Single Lane Overnight: Monday, April 30

Beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, April 30, eastbound I-494 will be reduced to a single lane between Prairie Center Drive and Hwy 169. The lane closures are necessary for us to shift traffic. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 1.

The left lane of eastbound I-494 between Prairie Center Drive and Hwy 169 will close at 7 p.m. Monday evening.

W. 78th Street (West of Washington Avenue/South of I-494): Open to Traffic

W. 78th Street has reopened. Thank you to all area businesses and residences for your patience during the reconstruction process.

Washington Avenue Bridge: Closure Date TBD

The closure date for the Washington Avenue Bridge is now tentatively scheduled for mid-May. Details will be included in future updates once they are finalized.

Hwy 169 & I-494 Nighttime Lane Closures
