Man in Black Sought in String of Robberies That Includes Shakopee Bank

Finding the suspect in the robbery of a Shakopee bank as well as numerous others in the metro area has become priority number one for the FBI.

The suspect in the robbery of a Shakopee bank as well as numerous others in the metro area has struck again in Minneapolis and finding him is now the top priority for the FBI in Minnesota according to a report by KARE 11 News.

The FBI has given the suspect the name of "The Man in Black," the report said.  

"If that helps get people's attention to start looking for The Man in Black, obviously we are for any more attention to this individual," FBI Special Agent Kyle Loven told KARE 11 Thursday night. "Right now he is priority number one for the FBI in Minnesota."

On Wednesday, Nov. 30, Central Bank at 2120 Hennepin Avenue South in Uptown was robbed at gunpoint, according to a FBI news release. The man entered the bank at approximately 3:30 p.m. and approached the teller counter. He showed the teller a gun and demanded cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber exited the bank and moved westward on foot.

As in previous robberies, the robber was described as a white male in his 20s to early 30s, approximately 5 foot 10-11 inches tall with a thin to medium build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and a black ski mask. The subject had a deep voice.

A suspect with the same description from the Paragon Bank in Shakopee when he robbed a teller at gunpoint on Nov. 1.

The description and circumstances around the robbery also match the suspect from other recent robberies in , , , Richfield, Prior Lake and an attempted robbery in Bloomington.
