Update: Four Injured in Shakopee Electrical Incident Identified

The four, who work for Shakopee Public Utilities: Jay Abrahamson, 40, Cody Schuett, 30, Matthew Griebel, 27, and Ryan Wermerskirchen, 26.

The four men involved in an have been identified.

The four, all employees of Shakopee Public Utilities, are Jay Abrahamson, 40, Cody Schuett, 30, Matthew Griebel, 27, and Ryan Wermerskirchen, 26.

Police incident reports show Abrahamson was performing an electrical upgrade at West Sixth Avenue and South Adams Street on a pole, while the other three men were working at 1010 W. Sixth Avenue.

Abrahamson and Schuett suffered significant second-degree burns to multiple areas of their body, according to incident reports from Shakopee police.

Griebel suffered minor burns to the inside of his forearms and Wermerskirchen complained of pain in his ears, the report continues.

Griebel and Wermerskirchen received care at nearby  in Shakopee, while Abrahamson and Schuett remained at Hennepin County Medical Center as of Tuesday night. 

According to Schuett's Facebook page, he's been working for Shakopee Public Utilities since 2002.

The investigation into what exactly happened Monday morning continues, according to Shakopee Public Utilities officials.
