Highway 169 Shift to South Side of Roadway Begins Today

The work on Hwy. 169 will continue to cause delays in Shakopee and is part of the Bloomington Ferry Bridge project.

The single lane of head to head traffic between Highway 101 and Old Shakopee Road will move from the north side to the south side of Highway 169, the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced today.

Crews will begin making the shift on Wednesday and will have it completed by 6 a.m. on Thursday.

The following ramps to and from southbound Highway 169 will reopen while the northbound ramps to and from Highway 169 will close:

  • Pioneer Trail
  • Old Shakopee Road
  • Highway 101
  • County Road 21
All lanes are scheduled to reopen by Friday, Aug. 23. For alternative routes, MnDOT suggests using Highway 41, Highway 101 and Interstate 35W.
