Updated: Police Say They Found 1,600 Pot Plants in Shakopee Southbridge Home
Based on the number of plants and the projected yield, Williams said the retail value of the marijuana if sold on the street would have been about $2.5 million.

Agents from the Southwest Metro Drug Task Force have placed a street value of $2.5 million on the 1,600 marijuana plants they found during a Nov. 29 raid on a Shakopee home.
Mark Williams, Carver County sheriff's sergeant and head of the task force, said the value of the marijuana produced at wholesale would have been somewhere between $1 million to $1.5 million. Williams said the grow operation, on the 7200 block of Berkshire Lane, was particularly sophisticated and producing high-quality plants. It was also taking up most of the living spaces in the home, according to Shakopee Police Chief Jeff Tate.Â
Tien Van Pham, 46, was arrested at the house and has been charged with felony possession of 10 kilograms or more of marijuana, according to a report by the Shakopee Valley News. Officers from the Shakopee Police Department, Carver County Sheriff’s Office and Scott County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
