Minnesota River Arts Fair in Shakopee Engages Attendees in Activities
Children's events and a quick paint competition are some of the activities scheduled for the fair, which also includes 52 artist booths.

The Minnesota River Arts Fair at The Landing in Shakopee celebrates the arts with live music, literary events and children's activities.Â
Scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the fair will also feature 52 artist booths, author signings and tours of an 1880s village, which is part of the park.Â
A quick paint competition will take place on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. during which painters will paint any outside scene in the park.
Some of the children's events include animal drawing, cartoon drawing and storytime.

The event is free, and food and drink vendors will be present. Pets will not be allowed at the fair. The Landing is located at 2187 Highway 101 East in Shakopee.
The Savage Arts Council partners with the Three Rivers Park District to put on the event. The council also organizes the Scott County Art Crawl and the Savage Juried Art Show and Competition.
