Pizza Ranch Restaurant to Open in Shakopee

Officials from the Pizza Ranch restaurant chain based in Iowa broke the suspense Tuesday morning, announcing their next restaurant in the Twin Cities will be in Shakopee.

"We're happy to announce we've broken ground in Shakopee, MN and hope to open this summer," their Facebook page said.

The restaurant, which is known for pizza and fried chicken and a "mile-long" buffet, will be located near at 1266 Vierling Dr. E. They also have a gluten-free menu.

Founded in 1981, Pizza Ranch has 163 locations across nine states including Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nebraska, Illinois and Kansas.
