Ribbon Cut on Shakopee's Pearson Sixth Grade Center

Pearson 6th Grade Center principal Dave Orlowsky (right) and Virgil Mears cut the ribbon at the school’s open house Aug. 22.

Mears was the first principal at Pearson when it opened as an elementary school in 1970 and helped design the building. The event was attended by 519 students and their families along with school administrators, school board members, city leaders and other community members.
