River Valley Theater Company Seeks Volunteers for April Cabaret

The following is a press release from the River Valley Theater Company.

RVTC is seeking community talent for its first-ever Red Carpet Cabaret. The Cabaret will be a classy fun evening of variety entertainment, improvisation comedy, dessert buffet, silent auction, and much more. All types of variety acts are welcome -- song, dance, music, comedy, magic -- solo, duets and small groups. All performers must be adults.

Auditions are Sunday March 3, 1 - 3 PM, and Monday, March 4, 7 - 9 PM; your act doesn't need to be perfect at this point, just show your stuff! Acts can be 3 - 5 minutes in length and any musical accompaniment will be provided by the performer. It should be pre-recorded on CD or mp3 (live accompaniment arranged by performer is OK, too). Auditions will be held at Shakopee West Junior High School, 200 E 10th Avenue, in Pod 1. Go to http://www.rivervalleytheatrecompany.com to schedule an audition time. Performers will receive a free ticket to the Cabaret for themselves, plus one additional ticket at half-price for a guest (regular price is $25 for a single, $40 for a couple). The RVTC Cabaret is Saturday, April 13 from 7 - 10 PM at the Knights Event Center in Shakopee. Performers will need to arrive by 4:00 PM April 13 for a tech rehearsal and are welcome to enjoy the rest of the festivities when they are not performing.
