Scott County Board Moves on Shakopee Transit Station

The Scott County Board of Commissioners approved an agreement Tuesday with LSA Design, Inc. for professional engineering, design, landscape and architectural services associated with the Marshall Road Transit Station in Shakopee, according to a news release from Scott County.

Other action items from Tuesday include:

• Commissioners approved applications for cost share funds to be distributed to individual landowners in the county for various filter strip projects
• The Board approved the re-appointment of Maria Brekke to the Extension Committee with a term effective June 30, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
• After conducting a public scoping meeting to discuss the supplemental Jordan Aggregates Environmental Impact Statement (which had been deemed necessary to collect additional data and review and clarify regulatory guidelines) and after hearing from citizens and staff, more information was added to the scoping document in order to further clarify responsibilities and expectations. With the new additions and clarifications, the Board approved the Final Scoping Document for the Jordan Aggregates Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
