Second Annual Project Community Connect Event for Homeless Announced
Project Community Connect provides a one-stop shop, to match those "living on little" with resources and services.

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, Heading Home Scott-Carver will host the second annual .
Project Community Connect is an event where services and information are available for people all day at no charge. It brings together citizens, non-profits, government and businesses to address the needs of those in our community who are economically challenged.
Services include housing, employment, legal services, benefits, community resources, haircuts, MN IDs, birth certificates, basic medical care, dentistry and more. Last year 87 service providers participated, some of which included Scott County Child Support, MN Department of Public Safety, Voter Registration, ARC Greater Twin Cities, (Child Care, Energy, and Food), Loaves and Fishes and the Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women.

Project Community Connect is part of a 10-year plan to end homelessness in Scott and Carver counties. It aims to engage the community in supporting efforts to address the challenges of poverty and homelessness.

Time: Doors will open for guests at 9:30 and close at 4:30 pm.
