Shakopee Chamber President Appointed to Dakota-Scott County Workforce Board

At its meeting June 4, the Dakota County Board of Commissioners appointed Angela Whitcomb, president of the Shakopee Chamber and Visitors Bureau, to the Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board.

Whitcomb will fill a vacancy on the Board representing the private sector. She has extensive experience in finance and human resources and currently oversees all programs of the Shakopee Chamber including public policy and workforce development initiatives.

The Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board oversees employment and training programs in Dakota and Scott counties and is a state leader in developing innovative programs administered through WorkForce Centers in Burnsville, Shakopee and West St. Paul.
