Shakopee Derby Days: Taste of Shakopee, Family Fun Park

The Taste of Shakopee and Family Fun Park are two of the highlights of the second day of Shakopee Derby Days.

The Shakopee Jaycees present the taste, which is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Huber Park. Some of the menu items are: pizza slices from Pizza Ranch, chicken ranch chop salad from Turtles, corn on the cob from Cub Foods and Sammy's Speed Dog hot dogs.

Tickets are sold for $1 each in group of five for $5. After 8 p.m. tickets can be purchased individually.

The Family Fun Park has inflatable rides, such as the Titantic and the Lagoon of Doom Log Roll, miniature golf and ninja combo. Tickets or an all day wristband will get you on the rides. 

Family Fun Park hours are: Thursday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Thursday's Shakopee Derby Days schedule:

• Senior Olympics at Lions Park: 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• Business Expo: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Taste of Shakopee, Family Fun Park, Miniature Golf, Beer Garden: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Food Concessionaires: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• School of Rock House Band: 6 p.m.
• DJ Night: 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

There is no cover charge for live music at Arizonas Lounge. Empty Arms is the group that will be performing.
